Dr. Michael Kirby, Senior research scientist

Formerly on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin, I made aliyah to Israel in the spring of 2015. After joining Ariel University that fall, I have become involved in a variety of research projects ranging from unraveling the molecular and genetic basis for social behaviors, vulnerability to stress and drug addiction, to cancer drug development.

The main focus of my current work is in translational and personalised medicine, primarily involving psychiatry and anti-ageing research. It is my hope that through these efforts, new treatment options can be developed to assist clinicians in their work and improve quality of life for patients.
