Kate Murlanova. Ph.D. Student

After graduating the Bogomolets National Medical University in Ukraine and receiving my BSc and MS degree there, I was in search for an exciting PhD project in the field of neuroscience. I am working currently on the biochemical and pharmacological assessment of new psychoactive herbal agents under the supervision of Prof. Albert Pinhasov and Dr. Elyashiv Drori, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach that covers extracts preparation, isolation of anxiolytic active fractions from crude extracts, behavioral, in vitro, molecular and biochemical studies with crude extracts. The dream that I follow in my research is the development of a new psychoactive herbal agent that will later contribute to the treatment of many people with depressive disorders.
